Function:
At the request of the Government of Japan, the Honorary Consul-General safeguards the rights and interests of Japan and the Japanese people and promotes cultural exchange with Japan in the state of Tasmania. However, the Honorary Consul-General does not engage in administrative service such as issuing passports, visas or various kinds of certificates.
